Cow that Ate the Piper
A favourite ghostly tale – versions are told in Ireland and Scotland
This Irish tale, ATU 1281A Getting Rid of the Man-Eating Calf, is told in many versions.
It was one of the first stories I heard when I began telling over 30 years ago – yet until making this recording had never told it myself. Strange how I could have ignored such a great tale!
