An old tale which shows that length is not everything
My telling is based on the Brothers Grimm version of this folk tale (ATU 173). Prof. Ashliman’s invaluable website links to that text, as well as a number of other variants.
When looking for a tale to tell at my 75th birthday party, this was one of the suggestions offered by the ever generous Storytell community.
