The Strongest of Them All – participation stories for young learners
The stories on the DVD
- The Strongest of Them All
- The Ghost with One Black Eye
- The Noisy House
- The Leprechaun and the Red Scarf
- The Giant Turnip
- The Old Woman who lived in a Vinegar Bottle
The DVD is accompanied by a CD-ROM containing:
- a 46-page Teacher’s Handbook on the methodology of using storytelling with young learners (.pdf)
- additional soundtrack of the stories on the DVD (.aiff and .mp3) for separate listening
The Teacher’s Handbook was completely revised in Jan. 2010.
The final eight minutes of the video are a practical demonstration of some of the important physical aspects of storytelling.
The audience was one of my classes, at the end of their first year of English.
