Clips to watch

For convenience, here are most of the video clips on the website collected on this page.
Some, like the first two, are the complete story. Others are just extracts, to whet your appetite!

Update notification

More videos will be added as they become available (amateur filming at a gig is always a rather hit-and-miss affair).
To receive an e-mail when a new story has been added, mail me with video notification in the subject line.

These films are all amateur video quality and are included here simply to give a feeling of what a live performance is like.

Where there is a skeleton of the story on the website, the links will take you there.

A Norwegian folktale which shows what happens when a man of a certain age begins to think of marrying a pretty young girl (9 min. of the story)
King Erysichthon (a short clip from Ovid's dark tale of punishment by the gods)
Wali Dad the Simple-Hearted, the opening of a story about what happened when someone decided to give a present (4 min). Read Andrew Lang's version here.
Reason to Beat your Wife, in case you missed this video on the homepage (complete, 6 min).
It is a story in which one person really does know the secret of how to have a happy marriage.
    Jack goes Hunting 1.
Here are two clips from this very poplular tale. The first is the beginning of the story told in Göckelschen in Groß-Zimmern. (As you can hear, there were several English people in the audience, including one woman from Ascot).
